New Sailing and Water Sport Classes at Treasure Island Sailing Center Offer a Day on the Bay for $25

All Skill Levels Can Choose from Kayaking, Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, Sailing, Keelboat Racing, or Women's Clinic!

May 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Treasure Island, CA - Treasure Island Sailing Center (TISC) is introducing new sailing and water sport classes this May, just in time for spring and summer.  At a cost of just $25, people can come enjoy a nice afternoon on the beautiful San Francisco Bay, and give stand-up paddle boarding a try, or go sailing, learn to kayak, or take a weekday women’s clinic.

“Classes are designed to get people active and out on the water, but at a price that provides access and affordability to everyone, including people traveling to and vacationing in the Bay Area,” said Lacey Todd, operations manager at TISC.  “Each class is only three hours and includes the most basic fundamentals for each of the different water sports, and structured in a fun and relaxed environment for people with all skill levels to enjoy.”

“We’re located just off the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge on the protected Clipper Cove with adjacent beachfront, and moments away from the city of San Francisco.  It’s the perfect arrangement for anyone who wants to explore the area, but still get some action on the bay,” added Todd. “After finishing a day on the water, visitors can make a visit to one of a number of wineries here on Treasure Island, or head off to the city with enough time for some dinner and a show.  If taking an afternoon class, it's just as easy to start off in the city with some brunch and window shopping, then head over here to enjoy the rest of the day sailing or kayaking,” added Todd.
