Dallas, TX, May 11, 2011: The Old Red Museum of Dallas County History & Culture will open Rescuing Old Red: A Photographic Journey by Gail Nogle, Saturday May 28th 2011y. The exhibit will be on view through October 30, 2011.
May 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Born in Troy, New York, Gail Nogle was eight years old when she was given her first camera, even back then she knew photography was her life's pursuit. A graduate of the prestigious Rochester Institute of Technology, Gail spent more than 14 years with Gittings Portrait Studio in Dallas, Texas before opening her own studio.  Creative whimsy and boundless enthusiasm are as much a part of Gail Nogle's  stock-in-trade as her reputation of capturing the art of life.  Highly regarded by both critics and collectors, Gail has the exceptional talent of capturing the extraordinary in ordinary people and places. This talent provides her a much-deserved reputation for both artistic vision, as well as a mastery of the technical aspects of her craft.

Her involvement with Crystal Charity Ball led her to become aware of the restoration of the Old Red Courthouse.  She was asked to visually capture 25 photographs to represent the contribution the Crystal Charity Ball had made to the restoration effort of Old Red.  She did this and more, not only were those photographs staged and shot but the actual restoration work was shot as well.  This effort made for an enormous body of work that covered the restoration and the presentation of extraordinarily beautiful fine art photographs.  Gail states, 'It was a photographers dream, a once in a lifetime opportunity to photograph the beauty of such a magnificent building."
