Younomy Launches Free E-book titled Co-creation Hot Spots

May 13, 2011 - PRLog -- The India-based co-creation consulting services firm, Younomy, has launched its free e-book on co-creation, titled, Co-Creation Hot Spots today. Authored by G Sankara Narayanan, the e-book details why co-creation of value starts with co-definition of value with stakeholders.

The e-book, containing six pages, is available for free download at Younomy.com, Google Docs, and Slideshare.net.

Commenting about the theme of the book, Sankar, who is also the CEO of Younomy, said that naturally, what makes co-creation possible is the participation of people from society. However, many companies do not engage the participants in the early stage of identifying the value they are asked to co-create. This book attempts to outline how companies can engage people - external stakeholders, in the process of co-defining value.

"Co-creation hot spots are like the "catchment areas" or meeting grounds where the business interests and social interests shake hand. The co-creation hot spots can help companies understand what constitute value or what areas are the high priority areas for the customers, and other external stakeholders," he said.

About the growing acceptance of co-creation principles, Sankar said that in the social media-enabled co-creation era, companies are looked at as a portfolio of communities, instead of just a portfolio of products and services. "Increasingly, companies of all sizes are trying to understand what co-creation is, what the roles of social media in co-creation are, what skills are required, and how to integrate co-creation in the business process. We are keen to produce short e-books for companies to offer our insights in these areas," he said.

The ebook explains three simple steps involved in the co-defining process. It is published in PDF format, and comes in less than 1MB size.
