Memorial Day weekend the “second largest jazz festival in the nation” makes THE scene
in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. And a weekend of incredible jazz performances
begins on multiple stages in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.

The Wine Down Tasting Experience and the Art in the Heart Downtown art show
and sale will also be open along with jazz exhibits and displays to start the festival
weekend.

The festival includes The Great American Jazz Piano Competition which takes place
at the Florida Theatre on Friday evening of the festival weekend. Food & drink, arts &
crafts, souvenirs & music are available for purchase from vendors within the park, and
Sunday Jazz Brunch is available in Metropolitan Park, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. When
the performers for the upcoming festival are announced, there is also an induction
ceremony for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival Hall of Fame to honor people who have
made a positive impact on jazz in Jacksonville. Over the years the festival has featured
such notable artists as Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Diane
Schuur, Patti Austin, Branford Marsalis, Count Basie Orchestra, Buddy Guy, , Kenny G,
Harry Connick, Jr. and Greg Adams, to name a few.

Day 1:
Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Friday 5/27
Friday night marks the beginning of FREE jazz performances on multiple
stages in the heart of downtown Jacksonville including Natalie Cole, the Gentlemen of the Night featuring Paul Taylor, Marion Meadows and Warren Hill, John Pizzarelli, Joey Calderazzo and many more! The Wine Down Brew Town Tasting Experience and the Art in the Heart Downtown  show and sale will also be open along with jazz exhibits and displays to start the festival weekend.

Day 2:
Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Saturday 5/28
The Jazz Festival continues into the weekend with more incredible FREE erformances including Boney James, Eddie Palmieri, Diane Schuur, Roy Ayers and many more on Saturday, May 28. The Wine Down Brew Town Tasting Experience and the Art in the
Heart Downtown juried art show and sale continue along with jazz exhibits, displays, and the ‘Round Midnight Jazz Jam to keep the sounds of jazz going into the early morning hours!

Day 3:
Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Sunday 5/29
The final day  continues with incredible FREE jazz performances on multiple stages including Herbie Hancock, DMS featuring George Duke, Marcus Miller and David Sanborn, Mavis Staples and many more! Sacred Jazz performances in the Old Church and a Sunday Jazz Brunch are just some of the fun activities planned for the final day of the festival.
