The Purple Hat Project Announces “Paint The Town Purple! Day” June 3rd

A grass roots response to discriminatory laws recently passed by the Indiana Legislature, The Purple Hat Project is launching “Paint The Town Purple! Day” to promote awareness of love and equality with support of citizens and local businesses.
May 11, 2011 - PRLog -- On June 3rd, individuals, businesses, and organizations are going to take a stand with The Purple Hat Project against discrimination. Hoosiers can show their support for love and fairness by wearing purple and joining us to shop and dine at various supporters of equality in locations around town.

Businesses can sign up to be a part of the movement at  We will be displaying the company logo as well as  special offers that are made available by organizations to people wearing purple on June 3rd.

A gallery viewing from a collection of photos and stories of people from around the globe telling their story of love will be presented at 45 Degrees located at the corner of Massachusetts and East Street in downtown Indianapolis on the night of the event.  There will be static and video displays, live music, and more.

Co-Founder Danelle Osborn stated: “Our goal is to provide a complete day where people in purple can attend, participate and purchase goods or services from local businesses and start making a connection that there are many, many, many people out there who believe in marriage equality.”
