May 10, 2011 - PRLog -- According to Diana, her new book is like an artwork in which she has woven a heartfelt and often humorous story, thus taking the reader into her home and her everyday life as a single mother raising not just a son, but a talented one.

Just the Two of Us is currently available online at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.

In this new book, Just the Two of Us, the reader is taken on a guided tour of an unimaginable journey of some harrowing and unforgettable experiences the author and her son had gone through. Several unfortunate school experiences, an emergency case of appendicitis, and an unexpected conversation by the poolside are some of the book’s highlights.

“Even though the book is a chronicle of some interestingly personal episodes between me and my son, my aim in writing it is to help the reader discover some of my secret recipes to building a close and caring relationship with my son,” said Diana.

“The reader will also discover just how far a mother will go for her child who faces unexpected challenges, including unfair treatments meted out to him by those who should know and do better,” she added.

With Just the Two of Us, Diana warned that couples, single parents, young adults, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers who adapt an anti-tiger mom style of parenting are in for a real treat. “You will laugh, you might cry, and you will definitely find yourself loving every page of my book,” noted Diana.

According to Diana, Just the Two of Us was written primarily to help struggling single mothers not to give up, to inspire those who might become a single parent soon not to be scared, and to inspire teachers not to hide behind the tenure, but teach children from the heart.

“Most of all, I am hoping this book will encourage more parents to advocate for their children and fight against the government in providing a decent quality of education to our children.  Last but not the least, not all Asian moms are Tiger moms,” Diana declared.

And according to one reader Mrs J. Geller, California, Diana has "done an excellent job in conveying the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Your writings got me reminiscing about my child's youthful days and how much I enjoyed his childhood and being a mother."

Diana wrote Just the Two of Us because one day a friend suggested she make her journal entries and notes into a book, thus sharing with other parents, especially single parents what she had been through with her son. However, it wasn’t until she read "32 Third Graders and a Class Bunny" by Phil Done, had Diana “finally gathered enough courage to start writing.”

And as they often say, the rest is history. Now, if you’d like to get a copy of Just the Two of Us, for yourself or as a gift, it is currently available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com.
