Follow on Google News | Professional to teach photography at Generations GalleryBy: Generations Gallery The four-week workshop will cover a wide range of topics that include how to operate your camera, taking command of exposure, f-stops, lighting, composition, cropping, creating drama stop action and macro effects. "Our goal is to get you comfortable with the camera's controls. Automatic is fine, but if you understand how the camera works, you will have more freedom to choose your settings for special effects," explains Alan Jones. "We will discuss some of the common mistakes beginners make and show you how to plan you pictures to make your pictures more professional. Students are asked to bring their own equipment and the operation manuals. Select 3 - 5 photos they have taken recently for discussion. If they have a laptop computer, they are encouraged to bring it to class so they can learn how to handle viewing and storing their photos. The instructor will present the principles of photography at the gallery and then the students will go out and shoot with the instructor at hand. "I believe this is the best way to learn." explains Alan. Generations Gallery is joined by The Jackson Butts County Council for the Arts in supporting the workshops. The gallery is located in The Village at Indian Springs at 1825 HwY. 42 South, Flovilla, Georgia 30216. To register for the workshop call 678-588-1911. Visa and MasterCard are accepted.
