Follow on Google News | Covina Center for the Performing Arts Brings Neil Simon’s RUMORS Plays May 13 Thru June 12, 2011Neil Simon's RUMORS offers an evening on unexpected fun as this play that starts with a serious situation and becomes a hysterical cover up!
By: Monica Gillen Neil Simon, America’s premiere comic playwright, brings his ability to take a serious situation and turn it into a comical one with the play RUMORS. RUMORS centers around four affluent couples invited to a tenth wedding anniversary celebration. The couples arrive only to find their host injured from a gun shot wound and the hostess missing. What develops is a hysterical cover up by all the guests to try frantically to protect their host (who is deputy mayor of New York), and themselves, by hiding the evening’s events from the outside world. The cast of RUMORS includes: Chuck Franklin* (Ken Gorman), Tannis Hanson (Chris Gorman), Candida Orosco (Claire Ganz), Christopher Violette(Lenny Ganz), Steve Julian (Ernie Cusak), Rosemary Gore* (Cookie Cusak), Hisato Masuyama* (Glenn Cooper), Jill Gerber (Cassie Cooper), Tony Colangelo (Officer Welch) and Jennifer Rubino (Officer Pudney). The creative team includes: Producer/Set designer Angelo Collado*, Director Frank Minano, and Set Designer Guy Carbajal. Tickets are available by calling the ticket office at (626) 331-8133 or by visiting www.covinacenter.com. Tickets are priced at $28, with a limited number of VIP tickets at $38. Group rates are available at $20 per ticket for groups of 20 or more. Special rates are also available for senior citizens (65 or older). The Covina Center is located at 104 N.
