Mathews Ford and Local Community to Raise as much as $6,000 for Clay High School

Innovative test-drive event will yield funds for Operation Graduation Class of 2011

May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Oregon, OH – Mathews Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Oregon community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Clay High School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Clay High School on May 6, Mathews Ford and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to Clay High School. The funds will benefit Operation Graduation Class of 2011.

“We know how important extracurricular activities are to our high school students, and as part of this community, we want to help,” said Tim Mathews, Dealer Principal at Mathews Ford. “This is why we’re excited to raise money for Clay High School’s Operation Graduation, meanwhile introducing parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality lineup and innovative safety technologies.” The event, which will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. will feature the Ford Explorer, Focus, Fiesta, Edge, F-150, Mustang or other available models.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. Locally, Mathews Ford participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program for the past three years and has raised over $9,000 for Oregon Schools.

In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, the program gives participants the chance to experience Ford’s exciting new vehicles and leading safety technologies.

To participate, please visit Clay High School between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p,m, on May 6.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
