Former Ebony Model Alton Willoughby Joins With New African American Transgender Author Toni Newman

May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Former 2006 Ebony/Jet Calendar model, Alton Willoughby, teams up with New African American Transgender Author, Toni Newman, to write a Screenplay and Teleplay called The Erotic Professionals.  The Erotic Professionals is Chapter 8 within the book I Rise-The Transformation of Toni Newman..  The Erotic Professionals screenplay is currently being shopped around now and top film director Keith Holland is attached to the project.  Dea Vise of Billy Damota Casting has agreed to be the Casting Director.  Kayo Anderson of KAM PR is the Publicist. This would be the first screenplay to be produced and written by a African American Transgender Producer and Writer and to have a African American Transgender as the Lead Role.  The screenplay was a semi-finalists (top 20) in the Script Showcase Screenwriting competition.  The screenplay will be a Sag Low Modified Budget Film and the budget is 800K.  

Sag Actor Alton Willoughby appeared in the Ebony/Jet swimwear calendar in 2006 and is a fitness model and appeared in the movie Phat Girlz with Comedian/Talk show host Monique.

Toni Newman's new book  I Rise-The Transformation of Toni Newman is on sale now on Amazon.com and Kindle. Toni Newman is the  first African American Transgender to write a memoir in the United States about the full journey of a black transgender.  The foreword of the book is written by Dr. Marc Weiss, former Columbia University Associate Professor.   Dr. Maya Angelou inspired Toni while a student at Wake Forest University, class of 1985.
