Omniac Education Announces New Summer Programs
Omniac Education is announcing two new programs for the summer of 2011. The College Bound and the High School Prep for Success programs. Both programs will be intensive three-week courses built in partnership with the University of New Mexico.
The College Bound Program, the first of Omniac's summer programs, specifically helps graduating seniors make a smooth transition from high school to college. The program will be split between 40 hours of classroom instruction and 20 hours of personal instruction, all of which will be covering college level material. "It's a very sad fact that many college freshman are not prepared for college," says Mark Truman, Omniac's Executive Director, "so we want to make sure that when these students get to their first classes, they're fully able to handle the material."
Omniac's second program, High School Prep for Success, be a more traditional tutoring program that is designed to help high school students retain and improve their knowledge during the long summer. "It's extremely important that kids get a long break during the summer," Mr. Truman explains, "but it's also important that they take some time to study so that they won't lose their edge next fall." Like the College Bound Program, High School Prep for Success splits it's time between classroom and personal instruction (30 and 10 hours respectively)
Each program will begin on June 13 and run for three weeks. The cost will be $1500, but Omniac will be offering a $250 discount to any student that enrolls by June 8. For more information, contact Omniac Education at (505) 750-4813.
