Gospel Recording Artist, Carmen Prince-jackson, Debuts With Her Book “ugly Thorns On Beaut

May 5, 2011 - PRLog -- PENSACOLA, FL - Evangelist Carmen J. Prince-Jackson, the jazzy Gospel music recording artist, is making her literary debut with, "Ugly Thorns on Beautiful Flowers." The book is scheduled to hit the streets on May 17th.

"Ugly Thorns on Beautiful Flowers" is a 10-chapter novel that Prince-Jackson gives a transparent and introspective look into her personal journey into healing. Some of the chapter titles include: "The Masquerade,"  "The Submission Position," "100% (Cleansed, Healed, and Whole)," "Believe It or Not," "The Gospel Truth," and "To Be Continued."

“Everyone has issues, but you don’t have to run away from God. No one is perfect. Not even church folks. I hope people are encouraged by my story and the transparency of my heart,” says Prince-Jackson.

Since the age of three, Prince-Jackson has been singing with her parents who were a duo in the 80s and 90s. Being from a musical background Prince-Jackson is deeply rooted in Gospel, R&B, Classical, Jazz, and many other genres. She has written over a thousand songs, several hundred poems, and many short stories. In 2008, she released her breakout CD, No Regrets, receiving rave reviews and critical acclaim from most industry insiders. She is also the host of her own radio show, "The Gospel Truth on Carmen's Corner" airing Mondays and Fridays on Blogtalkradio.com.

Prince-Jackson has already gained praise in New Orleans and surrounding areas for her powerful testimony and ministry. Ugly Thorns on Beautiful Flowers will be available for purchase online at Barnes and Noble’s Nook, Borders.com, Bookbaby.com and on Prince of Prince Ministries website. It will also be available in some local book retailers in the Pensacola and surrounding areas.
