Charlotte Area VW Dealer Expecting Arrival of 2012 EOS

The Volkswagen EOS is a unique and stylish all-season convertible with an integrated power panoramic sunroof that sets it apart from all other retractable hardtop convertibles on the market. Volkswagen says the EOS' five-piece hardtop folds in just 25 seconds, and the top includes a power moonroof which can open on its own as well. With the top down, a small wind deflector above the windshield deploys.

The 200-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder carries over from 2011, paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is standard. The EOS is estimated to average an impressive 31 mpg.

Standard features for Charlotte VW shoppers include power heated front seats, electronic dual-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped multifunctional steering wheel, SIRIUS satellite radio, and Bluetooth Hands-free wireless connectivity. Safety features include active seat-integrated rollover bars, an electronic stability system, a tire pressure monitoring system, and front and side airbags.

The EOS comes in three trim levels; Lux, Komfort and the new Executive trim. The Lux trim includes a keyless entry and ignition system and also allows the retractable convertible top to be opened via a remote key fob. The new Executive trim includes all of the standard features found on the Komfort and Lux trims, as well as an updated high-definition 10-speaker audio and navigation system.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and cruise controls is standard. High-definition radio reception and keyless access with push-button start are both new for 2011.

For 2012, the EOS has been updated with a new grille, restyled bumpers, redesigned front headlights that include fog and cornering lights, and two-part LED rear lights.
