Follow on Google News | Charity receives donation for new PCA youth charity and outdoor centre near Penryn has received a donation of £350 to buy an urgently needed computer for their student's pc suite.
By: BF Adventure Mrs Kessel said: "I knew about BF Adventure through my work with the Learning & Skills council and think they are doing a great job helping young people to gain confidence and important life skills to enable them to return to college or start an apprenticeship." Boscawen Masonic Lodge is one of many Freemason lodges in Cornwall who meet regularly and whose primarily aim is to raise funds for charitable causes. Tony Hogg, CEO at BFA said:" We are so grateful for the kind donation. Our PC suit is being used as part of our programmes to teach numeracy and literacy, CV writing and to give students the opportunity to search for jobs and college courses online." "Unfortunately we currently only have two working computers for a group of eight to ten students. The donation will help us to purchase another PC and together with some trust funding that we received last week we will now be able to fully equip the room." BF Adventure, formerly the Bishop's Forum, has been working with disadvantaged children and young people since 1989. In addition the charity offers programmes for people with disabilities, long term unemployed adults and many other groups and individuals with additional support needs. # # # BF Adventure is an outdoor activity centre and a charity working with disadvantaged young people and children, people with disabilities, unemployed adults and also offers school programmes, private parties and corporate team building days.
