For parents concerned about inappropriate text messaging related to drugs, sex or sexting, TextNANNY will cross references keywords or phrases for all incoming/outgoing messages against urban phrase dictionaries (acronyms) to alert against improper content/behavior, then send copies of these exchanges via a text message or email back to a parent.

TextNANNY is password protected so it cannot just be turned off by the child. Also, when TextNANNY is in lock-down mode, for added safety/security, it will always allow important or emergency phone calls to a parent or guardian through a preset list of phone numbers, so they will always be able to communicate.
