MEDS appoints Susan G. Drabing as Director of Mid-Level Provider Services

May 18, 2011 - PRLog -- MEDS, one of the Midwest’s leading emergency department staffing and management firms, has named Susan G. Drabing, RN, FNP-BC, as Director of Mid-Level Provider Services.  In this newly-created role, Drabing will be responsible for mentoring and managing MEDS’ team of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other mid-level providers.  She will also continue her clinical responsibilities with MEDS at St. Elizabeth Hospital’s emergency department (Belleville, IL) and urgent care center (O’Fallon, IL).

Drabing’s new responsibilities include overseeing MEDS’ mid-level practitioners at hospitals throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio; developing and implementing regular training programs and CME courses; supporting MEDS’ efforts to recruit mid-level practitioners; and working with MEDS’ management to continually improve patient care and operational efficiencies at client hospitals and urgent care centers.  

Prior to joining MEDS, Drabing held several nursing roles at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital and LAB Home Health, Inc., both in Belleville, IL.  She received the Faculty Excellence Award at Southern Illinois University School of Nursing, and she is a member of the Illinois Society of Advance Practice Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society, and the Reserve Officer Association.
