Kent Baker joins Chicagoland Sunbelt as Business Broker

Baker has a proven track record of successfully leading and growing small businesses.  Prior to joining Sunbelt, Baker ran a Chicago-based direct marketing firm and under his leadership the company tripled in size.  The firm worked with numerous small business owners helping them grow their business through direct marketing efforts.

The sale of businesses by the Baby Boomers is anticipated to take a dramatic upswing in the next two to seven years.  Despite the loss of value in their businesses in the past two years due to the economy, the clock is ticking for Baby Boomers and selling is still a necessary means to raise retirement funds.

Baker began his career in the technology field before migrating into sales and marketing. He has broad experience and functional expertise that ranges from operations, marketing and sales to production, customer service and credit.  At Sunbelt, Baker will be focused on assisting business owners who want to sell their business and transition to a new part of their life.

Kent graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Operations Management Information Systems.  He also graduated as a four year starter for the division IA football program.  He is also involved with the HFS Scholar program where he mentors inner city kids.
