Louisville, KY – Arizona Cardinals Star Safety Kerry Rhodes feels the need to give back to local youth while inviting his fellow NFL players to join him in the Kerry Rhodes Foundation KY Derby Youth Football Camp on Friday, May 6, 2011 at University of Louisville’s Trager Center.  As Kerry revisits in support of children in Louisville, KY home of the annual prestigious Kentucky Derby, he is passionate about assisting aspiring athletes.  With two successful years under his belt by collaborating with colleagues Terrell Owens and Amobi Okoye, this year is sure to be promising as well with the assistance of Jonathan Vilma (New Orleans Saints), Takeo Spikes (San Francisco 49ers), Michael Bush (Oakland Raiders), Deion Branch (New England Patriots), Andre Rison (Super Bowl Champ|Pro Bowler) and more.  While all of the parents and adults can enjoy the festivities of the KY Derby week, there’s a minimal amount of activities for children, therefore Kerry an alum of University of Louisville felt the need to fill that void for young athletes and give back during the NFL Lockout and what better day than KY Derby Day.  

The 200 fortunate young athletes will have the ability to learn football skills and drills from PRO NFL STARS FOR FREE!  Kerry’s mission for the youth football camp is to empower and provide an opportunity to learn sportsmanship, teamwork, the basics of the game, as well as a few secrets to instill the optimism, encouragement and confidence to prepare for the next level.  

The camp will be conducted by the renowned Byron Williams (NFL Retiree), founder of BW Sports, LLC known throughout the country as the “one and only” true football camp and training given by his team who provides first class, second to none motivation and are also committed to the community and giving an opportunity for all youth to perform to the best of their abilities through his premier “Football Mini Camp,” program.
