Free, Custom Mothers Day Card from Software Pantry

Software Pantry shows how to create your own custom Mother's Day card with the free software program Scribus.

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Looking to do something extra special for Mom this Mothers Day? How about creating a completely personalized card to show how much you care? SoftwarePantry has released a lesson showing how you can do it for free, using the page layout program "Scribus".

The lesson includes step-by-step instructions with pictures and video, making it easy to follow along. In the end you'll have a card that's a little bit extra special. You can see the full lesson at http://www.softwarepantry.com/blog

The program used for all this is Scribus, an open-source program used for professional quality layout of printed publications. The fact that it's open-source means that it's completely free. It can be downloaded from http://www.scribus.net

"Previously tools like this were so expensive that only businesses afford them," said SoftwarePantry CEO Mike Lammers. "Thanks to open-source software, they are now available for everybody. We're just showing off how they work, and hoping we can help out this Mothers Day."
