Ryan William’s Agency Takes Silver at the American Advertising Federation’s District ADDY Awards

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- West Palm Beach-based Ryan William’s Agency took home the silver at the district level of the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards. The April 30th event is the second of a three-tiered national competition judging more than 50,000 ad campaigns in mediums from print, direct mail and mixed media to radio, television and interactive marketing.

Ryan William’s, a full-service agency specializing in campaigns for businesses poised for growth, was awarded the distinction for a series of educational plaques permanently installed around a one-of-kind Florida-themed wooden carousel at Downtown at the Gardens shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Palm Beach Gardens. Each of the plaques depicts plants and animals indigenous to the state, complete with child-friendly descriptions, as well as historic events and things and places of interest.

“The job was challenging,” says Valerie Staggs, president of Ryan William’s, “because the custom-made carousel is as much an art piece for the surrounding community as it is an amusement. The design had to incorporate sophistication and still appeal to children. But apparently it worked. Not only was it awarded an ADDY, but there are almost always kids reading the plaques while waiting in line to ride the carousel. It’s a nice feeling to see first-hand your work in action.”  

The district-level ADDY Awards—tier two of the national competition—posed winners from 14 individual Florida ADDY competitions against each other, with district competitors awarded gold and silver going on to the final national judging. Of 11 entries in the local-level Treasure Coast ADDY competition, Ryan William’s was awarded five gold and four silver distinctions.
