Shermco puts on training seminar for municipal and county electrical inspectors

Shermco Industries hosts electrical inspectors from around the state for the lastest in electrical training

May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- DALLAS –  Shermco Industries’ staff members, comprised of NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B committee members, technicians and training professionals fully certified in the current International Electrical Testing Association standards, gave an in depth  inspector training seminar on April 20 at Shermco headquarters in Irving, Texas.  

Designed for the benefit of municipal and county electrical inspectors, the seminar contained sessions that covered:
•   General arc flash awareness & NEC requirements
•   Changes to the 2012 edition of the NFPA 70E
•   Counterfeiting of electrical products
•   NETA & NEC required performance testing of ground fault systems
•   Circuit breakers and best practices for testing
•   Grounding and best practices for testing

“The event was well attended by approximately 30 inspectors from around the state,” said Jim White, director of training for Shermco. “We also did pre and post seminar testing to ensure everyone measurably increased their working knowledge of the subject matter.”
