May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- MIAMI – While social and political upheaval has altered the face of the Middle East-North African region, the ouster of dictators and despots has led the people of those countries to ask where the money is. IAAR will answer how to trace and recover that money and answer other questions in a special, Web Seminar, Tracing and Recovering Stolen National Treasures of Middle East and North Africa Countries, on Monday, May 4, 2011, at 12 PM Eastern time.

Kenneth Barden, a respected expert in asset recovery, who is sought out by major media on these subjects, including the New York Times and the BBC, will give practical guidance on how to trace, locate and recover funds stolen from nations by their leaders. Asset recovery professionals in the private and public sector must understand the unique tools that are available to succeed in these challenging tasks. Distinctive weapons are available in countries that follow the common law, civil law and Sharia law.

Kenneth Barden, CSAR
A member of the inaugural class of Certified Specialists in Asset Recovery (CSAR), a unique credential awarded by IAAR to persons who qualify and pass a rigorous, proctored examination, has pursued the assets of corrupt regimes and criminal organizations for three decades.

The CSAR credential is based on the results of the first legally defensible, professional examination that verifies the skills of candidates for the credential. Learn more about the CSAR certification at www.iaaronline.org.

Cross-Border Asset Tracing and Recovery Conference
The Web Seminar on May 4th will also preview an important panel at IAAR's 2011 Cross-Border Asset Tracing and Recovery Conference, on June 12-14 at the Waldorf Hilton in London. Mr. Barden will be joined by Kevin Roberts, a forensic accountant and partner at international law firm Morrison Foerster. Both will be speakers at the London conference. The panel will be moderated by IAAR President, Charles Intriago, a former US federal prosecutor, and Editorial Director, David Quinones.
