April 30, 2011 - PRLog -- D2 Architecture, recently named Jesse Rodriguez as project architect.  The announcement was made by D2 president, David Dillard.

Rodriguez brings highly developed design and technical skills to D2 Architecture, honed over eight years with leading architecture firms across the United States and in the United Kingdom. He contributes to all phases of design on multiple projects, including conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.

“Any design firm in the country would be proud—and fortunate—to have a professional like Jesse Rodriguez. I know we certainly are,” said Dillard, founder and president of D2 Architecture.  “Jesse brings a rare blend of work experience, technology mastery, and innate creativity that doesn’t come along very often. His skill sets are already providing strong support on many of our projects.”
Previous to his position at D2 Architecture, Rodriguez was a project architect with Buchanan Architecture in Dallas, where he provided pre-design through construction administration on both commercial and residential projects.  Prior to that position, he served as an architectural assistant with Foster + Partners, based in London, England, which designed the Winspear Opera House in Dallas
“I’ve been able to see some of the best design practices in effect worldwide,” said Rodriguez.  “I was attracted to D2 Architecture because they are setting the standard for design in the active aging area—as well as pioneering new approaches to design concepting—such as The Sleepover Project that D2 founder David Dillard developed.”
In addition to his design experience, Rodriguez has a background in fabricating physical models and developing graphic representation for gallery exhibitions. Innovative by nature, Rodriguez has also assisted in developing a “fast track” delivery method during initial construction on a 132,000sf multifamily residence, including 42,500sf of parking.
Earlier firms in his job history include SERVO (an architectural model company) and Pugh and Scarpa Architecture—both in California.  His earliest job was as a general contractor’s assistant with Joplin Brothers Contractors, located in Texas. His direct experience in both architecture and actual construction enhance his design capability.
Rodriguez holds a masters degree in architecture from the University of California at Los Angeles, and is NCARB certified, having met the highest professional standards established by the registration boards responsible for protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
