Driftwood - New driftwood stock for 2011!
New stock of natural driftwood and driftwood sculptures recently imported from the south west pacific region. This new driftwood stock is to further increase our ability to meet demand in the UK for naturally sculpted driftwood.
At our warehouse facility (actually a working nursery) based just off the A3 near Guildford in Surrey we are now displaying naturally sculpted driftwood pieces from c 1ft in height/length to in excess of 6ft along with some magnificent ‘signature pieces’.
All of our driftwood is imported from the south west pacific region via New Zealand and is ethically sourced with each driftwood piece being individually selected on location. All driftwood varieties we supply are hardwood making them ideal for internal or outdoor use either as a focal point or as complementary part of a landscape design project.
The great variety of trees that grow in the temperate climate of the region provides a large selection of beautiful and durable driftwood which ensures that our driftwood will stand the test of time whilst naturally enhancing many environments.
Some of the popular driftwood we supply derives from trees such as the RATA (deep red to purple timber, dense and heavy with twisted wavy grain. Hard, strong and durable). TOTARA (a reddy-brown heavy wood). MATAI (lighter coloured wood of medium weight. The grain is often swirling and wavy creating a beautiful effect and popular for Maori carvings). RIMU (medium weight – can grow as high as 40 metres)!
We have supplied driftwood to a variety of clients including restaurants, offices, interior and exterior landscapers, TV studios, photographic/
