Community is the Key Ingredient at Planet Burrito

When walking into Planet Burrito take notice of the spotlight on the charity benefiting from the meal. Recently, Planet Burrito has hosted community day events to help raise money and awareness for the Neural Assistance Foundation, Grapevine Middle School Choir, Huffman Elementary, DFW Pug Rescue, Meals on Wheels, Team Connor, Gateway Church, Keller Athletic Booster Club and more. Future organizations on the community day event schedule include Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Grapevine High School Band, Special Needs Gymnastics, Rocky Top Therapy Center, Kelsey Marie Roberts Scholarship. Organizations who partner with Planet Burrito for a community day event receive 10% of the net proceeds from the event. “The addition of tacos, tostadas and new flavor combinations create more choices for patrons to enjoy their meal while supporting a local cause,”  according to Dante Ramirez, President of Operations.

In addition to hand-crafted and time honored Tex-Mex recipes and flavor influences from Texas and the Southwestern United States, we also include authentic Latin flavors from other parts of the world, such as Spain, Central, and South America.  Favorites like the Fishtastic, Texan, Californian and Southwestern have been joined by many flavorful new comers.

Try the Ah-Chee-Wawa with bratwurst sausage, crushed tator tots, white onions, shredded cheese, chives, tortilla strips, Texas chili and drizzled with ancho-ranch dressing. Take an island getaway, during lunch and go for the Jamaica Mon with grilled jamaican jerk seasoned fajita chicken topped with fresh mango, grilled jalapeno, lettuce, tomato, spicy avocado sour cream sauce, and cilantro. Catch the wave with the Surfer Babe and enjoy a fried avocado wedge, lettuce, tomato, drizzled with queso blanco, diablo sauce, chipotle aioli and is topped with tortilla strips. Or explore the other new delectable flavors: Acapulco, Cajun, Baja Shrimp, or the Texas Heat Wave. All flavor combinations are available for tacos, burritos, tostadas and bowls. And of course the Build Your Own is always available.
