Express Auto Associates Present Donation to Pretty Lake Vacation Camp May 3rd.

April 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Associates of the Southwest Michigan-based used car dealership Express Auto staged cook-outs, awarded prizes and held-silent auctions for a cause. “We made it a competition between our Kalamazoo stores and the Battle Creek location,” explained Matt Ghazal, president of the company. “I offered to match whatever the staff raised, and I grilled steaks for the winning team.”

The recipient of this year’s gift will be Pretty Lake Vacation Camp, a cost-free summer camp for local at-risk youth.  “As our local neighborhoods continue to face economic difficulties it, was important to us that the contribution remain in the communities we serve.  Express Auto, like Pretty Lake Camp, helps provide the tools to empower individuals and families in creating better lives for themselves,“ continued Ghazal.

“The children who attend Pretty Lake Vacation Camp are diverse and face many challenges at home, at school, and in their community. We strive to remove barriers that prevent a child from being able to come to camp which is why every child attends our camp for free“ said Sue Jones, development director at the camp.  Jones continued, “In addition, we provide everything our campers need while with us -   all clothes, toiletries, bedding, towels, food, transportation to and from camp, and activities – at no cost to the campers, their families or caregivers.”

Matt Ghazal will be presenting the donation to Pretty Lake Vacation Camp Executive Director, Mitch Wilson on Tuesday May 3rd at 4PM at the Express Auto location on Stadium Drive in Kalamazoo.  The public and members of the media are invited to come, see the presentation, and learn more about this worthwhile cause.
