The excellent prey base keeps the Tiger population at a healthy level- sighting the Tiger in all its glory is what makes Pench one of the most beautiful teak jungles of central India. It is also makes excellent Leopard habitat and is one of few places where Leopard sightings are not out of order. It shot to celebrity status when the BBC wildlife team filmed the brilliant documentary "Tiger- Spy in the Jungle" detailing the life of tigers in Pench.
