May 2, 2011 - PRLog -- Turmoil roils the book world. Print on Demand replaces the book ware–house. Electronic text replaces moveable type that replaced illustrated manuscripts, that replaced parchment, that replaced papyrus, that replaced clay tablets, that replaced cave painting. In a publishing paradigm shift, the independent author has gone from odd to modern, a creative ahead of the curve.

Amidst the commotion remains one constant––The storyteller.

The WWC will help Indie authors thrive in publishing's new age. The concept is the traditional Wisconsin idea––a user-owned, user-controlled business that distributes benefits on the basis of use. During the next year the WWC will work on developing mutually advantageous Independent author––independent bookstore strategies. How can we best help one another?

WWC will limit itself to ten members this first year. A few vacancies remain.
