Now a day, swimming in beaches and pools are the best thing to do because summer heat is going on. But, be alert because a sun ray produces ultra violet that might be harmful to our skin.

But, be alert because a sun ray produces ultra violet that might be harmful to our skin. The Macmillan Cancer Support is warning people to think twice before stripping off this summer.

Poor sunbathing habits are the result in rising levels of malignant melanoma (skin cancer) according to statistics. Malignant melanoma is one of the least common but it is more dangerous or serious type of skin cancer.

The most common site of the skin cancer in women is on the legs which result as 42%, but in men about 38% of skin cancer cases occur on the trunk of their bodies particularly on the back.

This week, we celebrate the Sun Awareness Week and Macmillan Cancer Support is push for sun-worshippers to think of their skin and take extra care.

“It’s concerning to see that skin cancer is becoming much more common.” Macmillan specialist Sarah Beaven said.

Summer time is the enjoying part of our life especially for those who want to unwind from work and school. This is the only way to remind the people from too much exposure to sun is resulting to skin cancer. Sunbathing and using sun beds are really can damage the skin.

According to Sarah Beaven, “It’s so important men take extra care in the sun with their chest and backs while women look after the exposed skin on their legs.”

“Altering your sunbathing habits and covering up vulnerable skin in midday sun can help prevent skin cancer so you can enjoy the sun more safely.” Sarah Beaven said.

Malignant melanomas are raised faster over the last 30 years; this skin cancer type is one of the top 10 cancers in men and women. Using sun block lotion is the best way to protect our skin, variety of SPF is available to any stores.
