Guided Tours in Lough Boora Parklands

April 28, 2011 - PRLog -- Seasonal guided tours for schools and groups have begun in the Lough Boora Parklands, a stunning destination in the heart of Offaly. This unique rehabilitated cutaway peatland offers a huge range of attractions including a world-renowned award-winning outdoor sculpture park, 15kms of beautiful walkways and cyclepaths, purpose-built picnic areas and angling lakes.

Lough Boora Parklands has recently been shortlisted for the prestigious European Destination of Excellence (EDEN) Competition in association with Fáilte Ireland. This is an EU-wide competition to encourage a more environmentally friendly form of tourism development.
