| Leading Women Presents 2011 AWE ConferenceAdvancing Women with “Heart, Vision, and Winning Strategies”
By: Leading Women The AWE Conference is a day of professional development and networking. Keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshops provide forums to hear from accomplished women, share best practices, network and access resources to help tackle business challenges. "Our goal for this conference is simple - convert the experiences of women who have achieved high business growth and levels of success into a day of practical learning programs," said Lisa Bergeron, AWE Conference Executive Director and president of Leading Women of Southeastern New England. "From the mindset in business to big league strategies, the entire day is designed to fuel personal and business growth for women in business," Bergeron said. Conference speakers include Sharon Hadary, founding executive director of the Center for Women’s Business Research, who has been a leader in creating social change for women for over two decades. In her morning keynote, she identifies trends and factors that prevent many business women from fulfilling their potential, both in the corporate workplace and as entrepreneurs, and what can be done to accelerate business growth. Luncheon keynote ESPN's Carol Stiff, talks about business in the big leagues and strategies for embracing a winning business mindset. Breakout sessions will tackle important business issues including diversity, risk, negotiation and advancing a business vision.
