Follow on Google News | 25 "Boss From Hell" Survivors to Compete for Top HonorsThe Cellar to Host Event in Time for Nat'l Assist Day
By: Frank Groff Inc. WHAT: 25 “Boss From Hell” survivors will be honored at an elegant luncheon sponsored by The Cellar in observance of Nat’l Admin Assist Day. The top 5 with the most outrageous stories will share their experiences in front of a panel of judges and the individual with the most colorful tale will be presented with a bouquet of roses, plaque and dinner for 4 at The Cellar; runners up will receive gift cards for The Cellar. WHEN: TOMORROW! Wednesday, April 25 at 11 a.m. WHERE: The Cellar Restaurant 305 North Harbor Blvd Fullerton, CA 92832 WHO: AMONG ENTRIES: • Susan DiGiambattista - Worked for a temperamental dentist who would throw tantrums in the office on a regular basis. One time when she handed him the wrong dental instrument, he tossed it at her, striking her in the face, and causing her to bleed. • Dave Richardson - He was bitten by a black widow on the job, but was not allowed to seek treatment. He was fired shortly thereafter and now suffers permanent damage to his hand. • Brian Bell - Worked for married “recovering” • Kelley Womack - Her boss would gather other male employees in his office then ask Kelley, who always dressed in skirts (office policy), to get on her hands and knees to “plug in his computer.” The men would leer and snicker like hormone-driven schoolboys. • Andrea Hughes - On 9/11, her boss let everyone go home except her because he wanted company. He was reluctant to go home to his own wife and daughter, as he knew they would be emotional and he didn’t want to deal with it. On a different occasion, she was not allowed to care for her sick daughter who was suffering from Scarlet Fever; the girl’s doctor called to scold Andrea about not personally tending to her daughter’s needs. ***** End
