Enjoy Theatre & Afternoon Tea at Borris House – What A Treat!
A unique opportunity to experience Oscar Wilde's The Picture of Dorian Gray over Afternoon Tea in the unique setting of Borris House
Decadent Victorian London; the socialite Lord Henry Wotton seduces the beautifully boyish Dorian Gray into a hedonistic life of indulgence, murder and excess. Unlike Lord Henry, Dorian never ages, for he has made a Faustian pact with Basil Hallward’s portrait of him, that he will remain forever young whilst his picture charts his decline into sin and ultimate self-destruction.
The Picture of Dorian Gray moves from drawing room comedy to Gothic horror and is a compelling and hugely entertaining theatrical event. It is directed by Alice Coghlan whose previous credits for Wonderland include Gulliver’s Travels, La Locandiera, I Pagliacci, and Life Shop Till You Drop! and it features Gate Theatre regulars Michael James Ford and Michael Winder, alongside Simon Coury, a veteran of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
All tickets include a decadent Afternoon Tea that Oscar would approve of.
