PRLog -- South Shore Sea Burials Inc. is located in Point Lookout, N.Y. and departs from the JONES BEACH INLET. We have boats in 2 ports, Point Lookout and Freeport. We can provide memorial services for up to 110 people from each port. We can also provide service out of FIRE ISLAND INLET. We are a small but growing company that performs professional Ash Scattering of Human and Pet cremains in the Atlantic Ocean. We are now an official provider of SEA-URNS which are biodegradable. They float for several minutes and then sink into the ocean where they dissolve. We pride ourselves in intimate but detailed ceremonies. Most people who love the water and wish to be buried at sea, probably enjoyed a personnel connection from using their own boats with their family and pets. This is why we offer our services. We are not like the larger commercial companies. S.S.S.B. is very flexible and we will also travel to most South Shore locations of Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan if desired by the family. We perform one memorial sea service at a time (Unlike larger companies who may perform several at one time). Attended, Unattended and Inlet Viewings are offered. A waterside lunch, dinner or cocktails after the memorial service can be provided at one of our local waterfront resturants at discounted prices. Special "SUNSET" memorial services are also available upon request. We provide a cremains pickup service from the funeral home or crematory. We provide the rose petals, flowers, nautical poems and a "LETTER OF DISSEMINATION"
which is suitable for framing. This includes the name of the deceased, date, weather, sea conditions and Latitude/Longitude coordinates. We prepare all paperwork and reports required by N.Y.S. Both of our vessels are operated by U.S.C.G. licensed Master Captians and are also American Red Cross Certified. We take a personal interest in our family business and want to please you on YOUR SPECIAL DAY.
