Live Streaming Video Coverage of the 2011 SRAM Tour of the Gila Downtown Silver City Criterium
A live video telecast of the Downtown Silver City Criterium stage of the 2011 SRAM Tour of the Gila cycling race will be streamed all day on Saturday, April 30th, by ProView Networks of Albuquerque, NM.
By: Derek Markham
This live video stream will give cycling fans a chance to have a virtual front row seat at the Criterium, and feature professional commentary from race announcers Dave Towle, Todd "Go- Go" Gogulski, and John Verheul.
"It's really exciting to work with J.D. Healy [of ProView] again to bring the live Criterium video to a much bigger audience, so that cycling fans who can't be in Silver City for this fast- paced race will able to watch it wherever they might be." ~ Jack Brennan, Race Co-Director
The Downtown Criterium runs right through the heart of historic downtown Silver City New Mexico, and begins at 8:00 am with a 12 lap, 12.9 mile race for the women's category 3 and 4 racers. The stage continues with another eight races across other categories throughout the day.
The day's racing will build in speed, up to the women's Pro and category 1 and 2 racers, who will be starting their 25 lap, 27 mile course at 3:00 pm, and then the men's Pro and category 1 race, which begins a 40 lap, 43.2 mile course at 4:15 pm.
The live streaming video will be featured on the Tour of the Gila website http://tourofthegila.com, VeloNews.com, the New Mexico Tourism website http://newmexico.org, as well as ProView's own site http://nmaafilms.ezstream.com/
