Hyper-local online magazine to announce dream wedding give-a-way winner

April 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Newtown, PA - On Sunday, May 1st from 2pm to 5pm, the Newtown Athletic Club will host a free mini-wedding expo, featuring the official announcement of the BucksHappening.com Wedding Contest winner.  The event will be held in Newtown Athletic Club's brand new salon & spa, Urban Allure, and will include a wedding fashion show, raffle prizes, select vendors, & refreshments.

The BucksHappening.com Wedding Contest kicked off on February 28th and voting will conclude on April 30th, with over 20,000 votes already having been counted.  The contest has been widely received in the Philadelphia region, having been shared almost 5,000 times on Facebook.  The official winner of over $10,000 in wedding services and the runner up will be announced at 4pm at the Newtown Athletic Club Wedding Soiree.

The 25 finalists are competing for the following grand prize package:

- A custom wedding cake by Town Crier Bakery  
- $500 worth of flowers from Monday Morning Flower Company
- $500 worth of invitations by Voila Customs by Nicole
- Photography by Mike Landis Photography  
- 8 personal training sessions from the Newtown Athletic Club
- Bridal hair and make up, groom hair cut from the Urban Allure Salon & Spa  
- A "Here Comes the Bride" wedding planner package from Proud to Plan
- Entertainment (DJ) & L.E.D. lighting by Cutting Edge Entertainment  
- 5 Tuxedo Rentals by Ventresca
- One hour of free harpist services for ceremony or reception by Rebecca Massey

Runner-up prize

- $500 towards their wedding bands from David Day Jewelers.
