Reality TV personality Robert Riva, known  to friends as ‘Tino’ will join the impressive roster of local philanthropists and entrepreneurs as a ‘Guest Bartender’ benefiting  Big Dog Ranch Rescue on Thursday, April 21st from 6:30 pm. to 8:30 p.m.   Robert Riva is one of the fifteen bachelors challenged on Love Games which premiered Monday April 18th.  “I am not allowed to elaborate on the results, but let’s just say, it was an experience I am very appreciative of.   I feel compelled to leverage the exposure to help significant causes in any way I can.  As a dog lover, I couldn’t say no to this opportunity,”  says Riva.

Minimum donation for entrance to this event is a $20 donation to Big Dog Ranch Rescue.  This amount includes one complimentary drink and passed hors d’oeuvres. Guests who donate $50 or more will have access to a separate VIP area where they will enjoy generous samplings of Black River Ossetra Caviar, sexy-ritas, sexy-jitos and sexy-rinhas made with SXtequila, SXrum and SXcachaca.and Cheney Brothers’ famous shrimp cocktail.

Donated raffle items include: Bice, Raymond Lee Jewelers, Style so Chic, Whole Pet Essentials, Dress Candy & Paws over Tradition.   Proceeds from gratuities and raffle items will also be donated to Big Dog Ranch Rescue.

About Big Dog Ranch Rescue
 
Each year Big Dog Ranch Rescue saves approximately 1,000 dogs. This year with a move on the horizon for the organization there has also been a distemper outbreak at the Miami- Dade shelter that forced the quick rescue of over 30 dogs.

The non-profit organization’s aspirations focuses on saving the lives of unwanted dogs that otherwise are euthanized in shelters. Big Dog Ranch Rescue now has a new home at the former Folke Peterson wildlife sanctuary. This site includes [28] sprawling acres of land. A large portion of the property will be dedicated to the dogs. The rescue is planning to complete this move and sizable renovations by, May 1st 2011. This project will now come on the heels of one of their largest rescues to date.
