St. Louis Combat Institute's New Training Facility- GRAND OPENING, June 4th, 2011
The St. Louis Combat Institute will be celebrating the Grand Opening of their new training facility on Saturday, June 4th, 2011.
Located “on the Hill” at 5017 Northrup, the new facility will offer over three thousand square feet of training area including an indoor Car Jacking Defense Training area, weapons training area and airline hijacking training area, in addition to their normal hand-to-hand training and heavy bag area.
Started last year by one of the most highly ranked and sought after instructors in the United States, the St. Louis Combat Institute offers the most authentic and up-to-date Israeli Krav Maga training in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Known for it effectiveness and versatility on and off the battlefield, Israeli Krav Maga has proven itself useful in any violent situation encountered by civilians of any age.
In addition to Israeli Krav Maga, the St. Louis Combat Institute offers training in Russian Martial Arts, known simply as “The System”, is the premier fighting system used by members of the Spetsnaz, the elite Russian Special Forces. While very similar to Israeli Krav Maga, Russian Martial Arts emphasizes natural body movement, breathwork and individual interpretation in order to survive in a violent encounter. The St. Louis Combat Institute is only one of two training facilities in the United States that combine the two fighting systems into one training package.
Courses also offered from the St. Louis Combat Institute include Bodyguard/VIP training, Nightclub Security, Gun Fighting for CCW permit holders, Travel Safe, a tourist security course, and Urban Warrior, their women only self-defense and self-awareness class.
The St. Louis Combat Institute offer children’s classes every Saturday morning. These classes offer a different perspective on the typical “martial arts” classes. With emphasis on abduction prevention, bully avoidance and awareness, these classes provide realistic training for our young people that will help them survive in our ever-changing and dangerous society.
The St. Louis Combat Institute provides training six days a week to everyone from school age children to military and law enforcement personnel. Private lessons, training for groups and seminars are also available.
