April 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Cary, NC – The Western Wake Farmers’ Market (WWFM) is pleased to announce the expansion of its peak selling season with the addition of Tuesday market hours.  Effective Tuesday, May 3, the market will be open from 3:30 – 6:30 PM through mid-November.  The market, located at 1225 Morrisville Carpenter Road in Cary, is also open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. until noon through mid-November.

“We’ve heard that it’s just plain hard for some people to get to the market on Saturday,” said WWFM President, Juliann Zoetmulder.  “With the addition of Tuesday afternoon hours, our aim is to make it more convenient for everyone to eat the right foods.”

The WWFM is open year-round, rain or shine, to provide area residents with access to locally grown and crafted foods.  Market offerings include organic fruits and vegetables, grass-fed and hormone-free meats, fresh North Carolina seafood, eggs, cheeses, artisan baked goods, coffee, as well as flowers, herbs and crafts.  Local chef demos, guest educators, children’s activities and live music continue to draw families to the market.

Information about all of the market’s farmers and vendors can be found at http://www.WesternWakeFarmersMarket.org.  In addition, WWFM’s e-newsletter, Western Wake Eats, includes details on what’s planned for the market as well as updates on what’s fresh each week.
