Experts Exchange Supercross Rider Places 12th Overall in Seattle

Topher Ingalls returns from injury to strong showing at 15th AMA Supercross race of the season

April 18, 2011 - PRLog -- After spending the last two and a half months sidelined with a leg injury, Experts Exchange Supercross rider Topher Ingalls made a convincing return to the arena last Saturday.

More than 52,000 fans braved the cold at Seattle’s Qwest Field to watch the 15th race in the 2011 AMA Monster Energy Supercross Series.  Ingalls qualified for the night program with the 20th fastest time, earning a post in Heat 1; a prime spot given the track conditions.

“This was one of the gnarliest supercross races I have ever seen,” says the three-year circuit veteran. “The track was dry enough that you had to jump everything to be competitive, but wet enough that every lip, landing, and whoop section had foot-peg deep ruts.”

In the main event, the Experts Exchange-sponsored Honda CRF250R jumped out to a good start from the outside, but a mistake in the undulated portion of the track commonly referred to as the “whoops” pushed Ingalls back to 18th place.

“I spent the rest of the main event slowly picking off riders,” says Ingalls, who eventually finished 12th. “(Overall), I feel like I rode really solid…it’s great to have a solid race under my belt.”

The AMA Supercross championship series features the premier 450 Class with reigning AMA Supercross Series Champion Ryan Dungey. Topher Ingalls rides the Experts Exchange motorcycle in the the 250 Class, which will crown a new champion in 2011.

“It’s good to see Topher racing again,” says Experts Exchange CEO Randy Redberg.  “We’re happy with this finish and look forward to a good race next week in Salt Lake City.”
