April 18, 2011 - PRLog -- American Profit Recovery, a nationwide collection agency with offices in Michigan, Massachusetts and North Carolina will once again get out their rakes, shovels, bark mulch and flowers on Earth Day as they participate in the Professional Landcare Network’s PLANET Day of Service.
The third annual event takes place on Earth Day, April 22, 2011. This year, APR will again proudly take on the challenge of greening up areas located near their offices in Marlborough, MA and Farmington Hills, MI. American Profit Recovery is an endorsed partner of PLANET and has been a lead sponsor of this initiative since its inception. Member companies along with other sponsors including American Profit Recovery will take on projects in an effort to clean up the grounds of charities, public parks and other spaces.
Marlborough, Mass: The Boys and Girls Club of Metrowest; Employees and others will clean up the playground area of this organization. They will lay down new bark mulch, remove old plants and shrubs and plant new items all in an effort to renew this playground. They will also partner with student groups to complete this project.
Farmington Hills, MI: The Michigan office has adopted Proud Lake Recreation located in Commerce Twp, Michigan. The office has pledged a two year commitment to the upkeep of the park with 400 hours of volunteer service. They will start on April 22. Some projects may include constructing a rest stop along hiking trails, planting flowers and clean up and removal of invasive plant species.
In the first two years, the event saw over 480 volunteer projects throughout the United States with an estimated $1 million in donated services, time and materials.
