Community Council to Question Utility Department

Ellettsville, Indiana (April 18, 2011) The Ellettsville/Richland Township Community Council Inc. is having a public meeting April 20, 2011 starting at 7:00 PM. This meeting will be held at the Smithville TelephoneCorporate Office Conference Room located at 1600 West Temperance Street in Ellettsville.

Darby McCarty, Chairperson of the Community Council stated, “We will hear an update at the April 20th meeting concerning the Town of Ellettsville’s Utilities Department by Mike Farmer that should be very interesting and informative. Ms McCarty went on to comment, “The Community Council will also hear a staff report on community funding issues that have been in area news recently.” Tom Orman, ViceChairperson of the Community Council commented, “We need to remember the Community Council’s mission is to advocate community development and stability through an open public process. We want to hear comments from the public.”

The meeting on April 20th will allow local citizens to hear important information concerning the major issues facing the Community. The Community Council is very interested in obtaining comments from the public. For those that cannot attend the Council’s meeting on April 20th comments can be sent to the Community Council through its website.
