By: PRMG The cost is at a fixed price of $70.00 (tax and tip not included). Dinner comprises of an appetizer, intermezzo, entrée and dessert. The courses are as follows: ● Crescent Farm Duck Mousse with a red pepper mango salsa, tomato chutney and ginger vinaigrette, accompanied with a 2007 Noblesse Oblige. ● Seared Arctic Char served with leeks, apple, cauliflower tapenade and curry broth, accompanied with a 2010 Classic White wine ● Veal Tenderloin and Braised Veal Cheek with eggplant caviar, Swiss chard ravioli and soft polenta, accompanied with a 2005 Lambardo ● Rhubarb Cheesecake with strawberry rhubarb sorbet, accompanied with a 2008 Diosa Mr. Roth, a winemaker at Wolffer Estates, will discuss the wine pairings and why each wine has been paired with its respective dish. Mr. Roth has a Master Winemaker and Cellar Master degree from the College for Oenology and Viticulture in Weinsberg, Germany. In 2003, the American Sommelier Society named him “Winemaker of the Year” at the East End Food & Wine Awards for his excellence as a winemaker and consultant and his overall contribution to quality winemaking on Long Island. “We are pleased to offer our finest Modern American cuisine along with the best wines from Wolffer Estates and to have Mr. Roth join us for this special event,” said Bill Mammes, Chef/Co-Owner, Rugosa Restaurant. “Our customers will get to taste the finest food in East Hampton, as well as the finest wines from the East End.” Rugosa Restaurant is located at 290 Montauk Highway in East Hampton.
