April 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Executive Director Skye Kelly states " We are so proud to be chosen to participate with Global Giving, it's a tremendous opportunity and we need to get the word out about what we are doing here locally in the community to make a difference."
The classes at Heal One World include Nutrition, Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Awareness Through Movement, Tai Chi, Meditation and others for people who are in need of preventive, non-invasive health care or treatment of chronic diseases. Providing individual non-invasive care and building partnerships with free or low cost clinics in Los Angeles to help people who are in need of treatment or health guidance, providing referrals for people in need of alternative practitioners offering free or sliding scale care.
One of the biggest and most costly aspects of healthcare in Los Angeles is the treatment of chronic diseases. It will be hard to make insurance affordable without changing how chronic disease is treated. This situation puts the low-income families in Los Angeles into an even harder time. Many people, especially youth and seniors, are suffering from chronic diseases like diabetes, asthma and musculoskeletal injury as well as preventable problems including smoking, obesity and physical inactivity.
About 19% population in Los Angeles can get benefits from our program and live a more healthy and happy life, which will decrease individual healthcare spending, change the health condition among low-income families and make those people reached more productive to the society. Lowering healthcare costs from long term disease and obesity. Being healthy effects the mind set of individuals as well and there shows a decrease in violence and crime when people are free of pain and able to contribute.
Ms. Kelly also states "I was disabled and unable to hold a job and homeless at 19, from the kindness of practitioners and self education I was able to pull myself from there to be very successful and now to give back."
Heal One World is located at 3503 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90019 and also promotes art and film.  They have a film festival coming up in May The Awareness Festival featuring over 50 films in 4 days at the Regent Showcase Theater.

Heal One World was formed to help connect people in need of preventative health care, non-traditional/complementary modalities, natural non-invasive treatments and guidance learning self help techniques that are generally not covered by insurance, and offer access to this help on a sliding scale, free or donation basis.

We hold classes on a free or sliding scale basis that provide self help and self healing techniques. We assist to arrange and promote clinics where low cost treatment can be found, as well as maintain a database of providers who are interested in helping those in need and create a long term focus of well being of body, spirit and mind.

We also offer people in need a forum to ask questions and state their issues to find the best provider to help them reach their goal of health. We are particularly trying to help children & adults with chronic illnesses.
