April 16, 2011 - PRLog -- ConiclT Mainframe software solution proactively keeps service level agreements (SLAs) on target. Using existing Mainframe monitors, ConicIT automates the gathering and monitoring of performance data, constantly analyzing the obtained information using sophisticated Behavioral Analysis Technology to predict and profile mainframe performance in real-time. ConicIT is the only tool that enables IT staff to find and repair mainframe problems the first time they happen, drastically lowering Mean Time to Repair by ensuring the root cause is found and fixed right the first time.

ConicIT is a privately held software vendor specializing in the development of a unique self-learning behavioral analysis technology for optimizing mainframe performance. By employing sophisticated mathematical tools and data from existing monitors, ConicIT predicts performance problems, helps solve them the first time they occur, as well as prevent their reoccurrence.
Our mission is to help IT Technical Support and Service Managers control their z/OS Mainframe environments by enhancing IT productivity and performance, and proactively optimize SLA costs, while reducing monthly license fees and operational costs.

The ConicIT Management Team:

Sam Somech - Mr. Somech is one of the world's leading experts on middleware messaging technologies. An experienced and successful entrepreneur, he has an extensive track record transforming new technologies into profitable new businesses, from initial concept to development and commercialization. Until recently, Mr. Somech was the CEO and chairman of Itemfield, which was acquired by Informatica. Previously, he served as the president, CTO and co-founder of Level 8 (NASD: LVEL), as well as founder and CEO of Data Voice Systems, where he developed the concept for the first transactional messaging product, which was the foundation of IBM MQSeries. Mr. Somech has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the Technion, a master of science in computer science from Columbia University, and a master's of business administration from Baruch College.

Yoram Kariv  - Mr. Kariv is an innovator and entrepreneur and one of the world’s leading experts on system performance. Yoram’s latest venture is ConicIT, a software development company that leverages sophisticated behavioral analysis techniques to predict and profile mainframe performance. Yoram was the former founder of Precise Software, a world leader developer of performance management solutions, acquired by Veritas (before its acquisition by Symantec) in 2002 for $537 million. Before that, Yoram started SCP computing, a mid-size IT consulting firm. Yoram started his career at IBM, working on mainframe computers.

Jacob Ukelson - Jacob has a proven track record in the discovery and development of innovative solutions and products to real-world customer problems. Prior to ConicIT Jacob has served as VP products for Dapper (acquired by Yahoo!), CTO of ActionBase, and CTO of Itemfield (acquired by Informatica). In those roles Jacob oversaw the technical strategy and roadmap linking the company’s innovative technology to the needs of the marketplace. Previously, Jacob was a department general manager at the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Lab, managing a group of 130 cross- disciplinary researchers. Jacob received his doctorate of science in computer science from the Technion University in Israel. In 1997, he received the Alexander C. Williams Ergonomics and Human Factors Award from the Human Factors Society.
