Expressway Ford and Local Community to Raise as much as $6,000 for Mount Vernon High School

April 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Mount Vernon, IN – Expressway Ford is bringing Ford Motor Company’s innovative Drive One 4 UR School program to the Mount Vernon community in an effort to raise up to $6,000 for Mount Vernon High School. For every person who test-drives a Ford vehicle at Mount Vernon High School on April 16, Expressway Ford and Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to athletic and academic programs.

“We know how important extracurricular activities are to our high school students, and as part of this community, we want to help,” said Bryan Bulkley, Owner and General Manager at Expressway Ford. “This is why we’re excited to raise money for athletic and academic programs, meanwhile introducing parents, teenagers and other drivers to our high-quality lineup and innovative safety technologies.” The event, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will feature the Ford Explorer, Focus, Fiesta, Fusion, Edge, F-150, Mustang or other available models.

Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 275,000 test-drives at more than 1,500 events have generated over $5 million in donations for high schools nationwide. Locally, Expressway Ford is participating in their first Ford Drive One 4 UR School program and is excited to raise up to $6,000 for Mount Vernon High School.

Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test-drive per household.
