Cromwell & Goodwin Names Veronica Averbook Managing Director

Ms. Averbook comes to Cromwell & Goodwin from Cromwell Group, a highly successful private equity firm based in New York, which he co-founded in 1994. During his tenure with Cromwell Group, the firm acquired 18 industrial manufacturing companies, primarily in the capital goods and plastics industries and focused on underperforming and undermanaged businesses. Value was created through operational improvements, not financial engineering.

Previously, Ms. Averbook was a co-founder and managing director at Pfingsten Partners, a middle market private equity firm based in Deerfield, IL, where the focus was also on building better businesses through operational improvements. His early career was spent at Citicorp and Continental Bank.
