Two great chefs from two great hotels create sell out fine dining events at The Chester Grosvenor

April 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Fine dining aficionados enjoyed a special treat when The Chester Grosvenor and Spa played host to Claridge’s top chef at three exclusive events.

The unique collaboration between the two great hotels proved so popular that tables for the two course lunch and five course dinner sold out within weeks and an additional lunch was added, which again sold out.

Claridge’s Martyn Nail was guest chef in The Chester Grosvenor’s Michelin-starred kitchen working alongside its executive chef Simon Radley bringing together their collective 50 years of expertise creating fine dining experiences at two of the UK’s best hotels.

Andre Sievers, food and beverage director, said: “The demand for tables at the Claridge’s gourmet events was unprecedented. Even after we added another lunch we had a waiting list of more than 20 people for each event.

“The feedback from diners has been fantastic with people asking us when we are going to do something similar again.”

Martyn Nail captivated diners by going table to table to introduce himself and taking part in a question and answer session when he made a special appearance in the restaurant.

Martyn said: “It was a pleasure to join Simon Radley and his team and introduce some of Claridge’s signature dishes to the beautiful Chester Grosvenor and Spa.

“I’m delighted that the gourmet events proved to be so popular and such a success for both hotels.”

The Chester Grosvenor and Spa’s yearly calendar of gourmet events are something of an institution with a loyal following of diners who have been attending for many years.

They are renowned for their conviviality, bespoke menus and the chance to try an eclectic range of wines handpicked by the hotel’s experienced sommelier.
