Having been trained at New York’s prestigious Culinary Institute of America and The Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in St. Helena, David prepares everything personally. His menus include a large variety of entrées, and he continually tests new recipes. After years of working as a pastry chef in numerous resorts and casinos, he produces a wide variety of desserts, specializing in fruit pies and fresh baked breads. His resume includes such entries as working as the pastry chef Cal Neva Resort, Spa and Casino in North Lake Tahoe and as a baker for the scientists on Antarctica.

David suffers from type one diabetes and has made adjustments in his own diet to be able to live with that. Chef David sits down with each client to help them choose their meals from an expansive menu, and then he does all shopping, preparation, and packaging for storage. The menus are prepared in the client’s kitchen and stored in their refrigerator or freezer as is appropriate, along with a set of service instructions, including how to assemble and re-heat the meals as appropriate. As an added convenience, Chef David always leaves the kitchen and equipment at least as clean as he found it, so his customers come home to a refrigerator stocked with dinners and a sparkling kitchen.
