April 13, 2011 - PRLog -- With the Royal Wedding fast approaching, an independent cruise comparison website, http://www.CruiseCompare.co.uk has conducted a study of 1,291 Britons, in a bid to discover what type of honeymoon the British public think that Prince William and Kate Middleton will enjoy after their wedding day on April 29th 2011.

The study, conducted by http://www.CruiseCompare.co.uk, asked respondents the multiple answer question ‘How do you think Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend their honeymoon?’  Respondents were able to choose more than one response, based on which types of holidays they believed the Royals were most likely to enjoy for their honeymoon.

According to the research from http://www.CruiseCompare.co.uk, more than two thirds, 67% of the respondents predicted that Prince William will treat Kate Middleton to a ‘private yacht in the Indian Ocean’ for their honeymoon. A further 59% believe that the Royal newlyweds will enjoy a ‘cruise around the world’ on a ‘private cruise liner’; whilst 54% predict that the pair will have to partake in ‘official Royal visits’ for their honeymoon.

According to the study by http://www.CruiseCompare.co.uk, the top ten most popular predictions of how Prince William and Kate Middleton will spend their honeymoon are as follows:

1.   Private yacht in the Indian Ocean – 67%
2.   Cruise around the world on a private cruise liner – 59%
3.   Making official Royal visits – 54%
4.   Safari in Africa – 51%
5.   Won’t have a honeymoon – 46%
6.   Skiing in the Alps – 42%
7.   Secret location – 38%
8.   7 star hotel in Dubai – 35%
9.   A ‘staycation’ in the UK – 28%
10.   Tour America in a Cadillac – 24%

Respondents to the study were then asked to predict the financial budget that they think Prince William and Kate Middleton will have for their honeymoon. More than two fifths, 41%, estimated that the Royal couple will spend £20,000 - £30,000; whilst a further 13% stated that they think the newlyweds will spend over £50,000 on their honeymoon.  In contrast, 17% of the respondents thought that the Royal couple will have a ‘limitless’ honeymoon budget.

Furthermore, just under a tenth, 8%, of respondents believed that the newly married couple will take Prince William’s brother, Prince Harry, with them on their honeymoon.

Danielle Fear, Managing Director of http://www.CruiseCompare.co.uk said the following:

“This was a really fun study, and it was great to discover what the British public think Prince William and Kate Middleton will do for their honeymoon. Whilst some of the options certainly do sound like fun, particularly the tour of America in a Cadillac, sadly I don’t think that all will be viable for such a high profile couple.”

She continued:

“A honeymoon is certainly a once in a lifetime holiday and one that I am sure the Royal couple are really looking forward to. Whatever they do, privacy will be of the utmost importance; and private boats and cruises can be a great way to ensure that prying eyes are kept away.”
